Barcelona Cava is made in the new facility just outside Vilafranca del Penedès. The winery was built near the site of a Roman villa where grapes have been grown for at least two thousand years including an organically farmed vineyard in front of the winery. With extensive temperature controlled underground cellars, the wines rest quietly while awaiting completion of fermentation. The winery was designed to be environmentally friendly. They have the latest in winemaking technology and employ twelve dedicated people.
